I was able to spend the morning in my studio and completed quilting my mystery project. I’ll finish hand stitching the binding on it (and a couple of other projects) while I hostess at the Guild’s workshop this weekend.
My Red Cross shift did double duty this afternoon. It was quite quiet for the first hour and I managed to jot down a few notes for my year-end report for the Guild’s membership committee. I’m also writing a bit of a policy paper so the people coming on to the committee will know what is required, and a few of the ways I managed to sort out things that have “sprung up” during my time on the committee. I’ll miss the June business meeting so I need to have everything ready to turn in by the weekend.
We still don’t have the network connection in the Red Cross office, but I hope everything will be ready by the time I get back. The convenor can hardly wait to get started; she keeps saying we are going to have so much fun. She’ll be gone for a bit when I get back so maybe I can get some procedures in place before she is back to help me.
I have a bit of afternoon left and I think I will start cleaning up. As usual, by the time one (or three) projects are finished I have created a mess in both of my upstairs rooms. I haven’t finished all my goals for the month, and there are cards that need to be made for June, but I think I’m finished sewing until after my trip.
