I’m really not putting off my quilting, but another day has gone by and I haven’t accomplished anything on my quilt. I still hope to have the quilting finished by the end of the weekend, but you just never know.

I had a lovely, long chat with Diane this morning. It doesn’t matter if we’ve talked just a week ago we’ll still spend more than an hour on the phone. She caught me up on all her projects – she may not write a blog, but she is a busy lady. A few minutes after hanging up the phone a quilting friend arrive at the door to pay me for some quilting stuff. She had a dentist’s appointment later in the morning, but we had time for coffee and a visit. By the time Shirley left it was almost noon and, since Pat was having a friend over for music this afternoon, we got our lunch cooked and cleared away before Geoff arrived.

I headed upstairs with good intentions of quilting but thought I’d best clear up some paperwork, pay some bills, and clean out my e-mail. Perhaps I am procrastinating.

As I was updating my Good Reads account I noticed that, based on the books I’ve already reviewed, they have a list of recommended books for me. Many of the books on the list were ones I had already read but hadn’t put online yet. It took a bit of time to get everything updated (moved off my website and added to Good Reads) but it was nice to think about some of the good books I’ve read over the past few years. I just finished Good Harbour and will be sharing it with Kathryn and Regan when I go to Saskatoon later this month. I’ve finally started The Hundred-Year-Old Man, and I’m enjoying it.

The afternoon was almost over by the time I had sorted through some quilting project sheets and photos so, for what remained of it, I worked on Pat’s accounting. It’s always a good feeling to have that caught up.

I plan to spend the evening knitting.
