Exercising my franchise

I was very productive with my early morning. I finished all the straight-line quilting on my project before having breakfast and heading off to the Guild bee. I wish I could say I was as productive at the bee. I thought it would be a short day as all I intended to do was bury some knotting threads. I was there until 1:30 and I still have a lot of threads hanging. Oh well, at least the majority of them are finished.

Today is election day in BC and, on my way home from the bee, I stopped and cast my ballot. I heard that the turnout for the last general election was only 51%. There has been a lot of interest in this race so I hope the turnout is better. Many of our Guild members are working at the polls today.

I have some Guild and Red Cross phone calls to make. If there is any time left in the afternoon when those are finished I may go back to my book. I finished Good Grief and I have one more I’d like to get finished so I can take it to Kathryn.
