A good day to be on the water

Pat and I were on the first ferry to Comox this morning. Pat had a medical appointment so he and the car rode free but I had to pay my way. I guess in the end though we both paid our way through our taxes.

We had a few stops to make on the other side but I had time before lunch to stop in at Fanny’s Fabrics in Courtenay. The people who own Fanny’s also have a quilting shop at the back of the store. I’ve heard lots of Guild members talking about it but we’ve never stopped. I had a list of things I wanted to get and, between the two stores, I got everything I needed (and more).

We also stopped at a Thrift Shop and I scored on some bargain books. I’ve added three books to my GoodReads list, and I also picked up an almost-new quilting book for next to nothing. I love thrift store shopping!

Our trip home was delightful. It was such a nice day we enjoyed the view from the outer deck all the way home.
