I needed this

I changed my mind back and forth about three times last night as to whether or not I would go to the bee today. I was so tired last night, but I had a good sleep and there were things I wanted to do. I decided though that I wanted a day at home even more.

I had a lazy morning, with two cups of coffee before starting the day. I did some laundry and, because the sun was shining, I hung most of it outside. I spent the rest of the morning taking care of a few things in my studio – sorting through a couple of bags of scraps I got at a yard sale, paying some bills, doing some paperwork, and repairing the change-table pad for BOND.

After lunch I finished cutting the few pieces I needed for Luigi. When I did the Easter Eggs at our Project Tuesday we were also offered a pattern for a Watercolour Umbrella. I cut the pieces I need for that but I’m not sure I have the right shades of all the colours. I didn’t go any further than cutting so when I start to put it together I may find I need to hunt for different fabrics. I struggle with fabric choices at the best of times, so you can imagine how well I do at picking fabrics that are supposed to fit together to look like a painting!

Next up I got started on my May birthday cards. Some of them have to be in the mail next week. It will keep me busy finishing up everything on my goal list as well as getting these cards done.

We’re off to Trivia Night at The Hub restaurant tonight. It is put on by the Library and we’ve heard it is a lot of fun. There was another event tonight I would have liked to have gone to but in such a busy town there are always choices to be made.
