How can the day be almost over?

Wednesday, April 17, 2013

It’s a good thing I got a lot accomplished last night because today hasn’t been very productive. That isn’t really true, but I don’t have a lot to show for the day’s efforts.

Pat and I started our day at the gym. He has been going with a friend every day this week, but today I decided to go along as well. It wasn’t all that bad, and I enjoyed the automatic programs available on the treadmill and the bike. I have the option of doing a swim, the hot tub and/or sauna afterwards, but I decided to do none of them today. Maybe I’ll dip my toes in the pool tomorrow when we go back for another workout.

We went for coffee after we left the Rec Centre and it was close to noon before we got home. I headed upstairs and finished cutting all the pieces I need for three more Marios and most of a Luigi. I ran out of green for Luigi and, unless I can get just the right colour, I may have to stop at Mario.

Next up was cutting scraps for the placemat challenge at the Guild. I will make two of them – one a bit more feminine than the other. And while I was cutting out small bits I cut enough to make a set of four placemats for my Tickle Trunk. It is more work than I imagined getting it filled – perhaps I should have started with a small Tickle Box!

By the time all that cutting was done and cleaned up the afternoon was almost gone. I took a look at what I needed for my class on Saturday, and then I did the cutting for Sunday’s class (there wasn’t much required). I called the woman who has the shop up the street, but she wasn’t home. I got most of what I need for Saturday’s class from her at the Quilt Show, and I promised her I would be over to get the rest. Time is running out though.

Pat is out tonight (again) and it’s time for me to get some dinner.
