As you can see I was a little behind in my web updates. I want to move my books over to Good Reads – Tracie and Regan have been giving me all sorts of new titles to add to my wishlist. I’ve done some investigating and set up a new page that might work, but I need Pat’s help before I can publish it. I’d like to use the same idea for my movies and I may have found a solution. It will take time to make the changes but my updates should be much faster and your daily mail wouldn’t be so cluttered.
The more I looked at the various pages and posts the more I wanted to do a complete remodeling of the site. With Pat’s help I think it can all be redone to look less cluttered and be easier to maintain. Stay tuned for changes.
I planned to walk to my Red Cross shift today but Pat and I got talking about the website and before I knew it I was going to have to run to make it in time. I took the car but I stopped at Safeway to pick up the ingredients I needed for Hot Cross Buns. I couldn’t find the raisins, and the checkouts were all backed up. Even had I found someone to help me locate raisins, it would have taken too long to get through the line-ups. I gave up and headed straight to my shift.
My day was quiet. The sink that we use for cleaning was off limits as the maintenance crew were trying to find and clear a stoppage somewhere in the system. The guys were in and out all afternoon and every time I heard bubbling coming from the back I checked to be sure it wasn’t the sink overflowing. I had a wheel chair returned that I had to leave until the problem is fixed (so sad – not) but I was able to use wipes to clean the few walkers, canes and crutches that were returned.
On the way home I stopped at Quality Foods and found the raisins where I expected them to be – in the baking aisle. I picked up the few other things that were on the list and hurried home as Pat needed the car. I had the first few ingredients loaded in the bread maker before realizing I had neglected to purchase yeast – the jar I had in the fridge had a 2012 expiry date and I pitched it this morning. So I made another quick trip to Safeway for yeast.
After my Hot Cross buns are finished I’ll spend a quiet evening with my knitting and/or crocheting.
