I had finishing-up plans on my list today. I had one Easter project that needed a bit more sewing to complete, and then I wanted to get my cards and presents ready for the mail. I had a bit of shopping to do to complete one of the parcels so I made a trip out in the rain just before lunch.
I made a stop at the bank and at Staples and then moved on to the dollar store. There were a few groceries that I needed to pick up so that was my next stop. I was home just after noon. When I came in the door Pat asked if I got everything I needed, and I assured him I had. Then he asked where I had gone and, while telling him about my shopping, it dawned on me that there was one stop I was supposed to make on my way home. Do you remember that post about the cows last week?
Fortunately the stop I neglected to make was within easy walking distance so after lunch I went out and took care of it. That left me with most of the afternoon for wrapping birthday parcels, finishing up some hand stitching on a project and finishing the slippers. The slippers are probably the worst thing I’ve tackled in years – I think it must have been my mindset after the third try!
The packages are all wrapped and ready for the post office tomorrow. I have some mindless crochet I will work on tonight.
