I’ve had a full day of stitching and I’m happy as a clam with my progress. I have all the March birthday cards finished – I know I’m running late with them but I’m going to go with the “better late than never” adage. I’ve got the first batch of April cards finished as well. All these need to be in the mail on Monday. And with Easter coming up I have a few (well three) Easter projects and only one has been completed.
My knitting isn’t going well – who would have guessed I would struggle so much with a simple pair of slippers. The first pair I made with a modified pattern were too small. I’ve tried a couple of pair since and wasn’t happy with them. Slipper patterns seem to be for babies (as in booties) or adults – nothing that will fit Taylor’s little feet. Although I bought a pair of size 9 flip-flops (Christy tells me that is the size she wears) and they aren’t exactly small! I’d like to get them finished up tonight or at least at some point during the weekend.
I’ll be shutting down and unplugging all the appliances in my studio when I finish for the day. I’ll try to convince Pat that we should put out all the lights this evening for Earth Hour. Even if we don’t turn the TV off we can hide in the basement and no one will be any the wiser – except you of course and you won’t tell will you?
