I thought I would enjoy this documentary but I was a little bored by it. The documentary gives the history and struggles that female journalists encountered in their efforts to cover the news of the Second World War. They fought to have their stories accepted, and they often had to sneak to the front lines.

I enjoyed the short before the movie. It was entitled “My Friend is on the Radio”. The film, made by a graduate of the Powell River Digital Film School, was made up of clips of an interview with our friend Zoe. So, not only is our friend on the radio, she’s also on the big screen!
