Today was sewing bee day, but we met at the modular home park up the hill because our usual meeting spot was unavailable. I’ve been busy quilting my applique flowers but that project and machine don’t travel. I was set to stitch the binding for a couple of Community Quilts – beautiful patterns and lovely quilting that I take no credit for! I had the binding attached by noon and after lunch I managed to get the hand stitching done half-way around one of the quilts.
I intended to do some more quilting when I got home but after writing the Guild blog and updating a few of their web pages, I’ve run out of energy. I’ll get a fresh start on it tomorrow and I can continue with the hand stitching tonight. I’ll share a photo when I finish.
I’m digging out my baby wool and patterns because friends of ours are expecting. I’m halfway done a new scarf for Dylan – he wanted a blue one like I made for Taylor because “it is just like my blankie”! Pat wants more socks, and I have a second pair for myself on the needles. I’ve got two crocheted afghan’s started to use up some of my wool scraps. All this, and I couldn’t be happier to be starting a new project!
