It took me three hours last night to sew in all my quilting threads. When I’m scheduling my remaining quilts I’ll have to remember to block off a day for cutting and placing the binding, a day for sewing in ends, and a day to stitch down the binding.
Today the bee was holding a tutorial on making cubes to fit into our One Block Wonder projects. I want to learn how to make them, but I decided that the quilt show work had to come first. Does that make me a square? I sandwiched my tie quilt and then started hand stitching the binding on my Disappearing Nine Patch. With two quilts ready for quilting, and a binding that I will finish tonight, I’m feeling in good shape for the show.
It’s pouring rain out tonight so it is a good evening to curl up under my quilt and finish the binding. This is the first quilt I’ve done with a flannel backing and it feels so soft and cozy. Pat’s away so I think I’ll get started on Season 1 of Downton Abbey (via Netflix) tonight.
