I’ve been dreading this day for a week and I thought it would go better if I combined it with a pyjama day! The year-end for Pat’s business is the end of August and I struggle to get all the accounting done and sent off to the accountant before the end of September when the last-quarter HST is due. The accountant takes quite awhile to process the year end (I just got the file back this week) so I only have a few days turn-around before I have to send it all back for the first-quarter HST (due the end of December). It is even more demanding this year as we are leaving for Christy’s on Boxing Day.
There were a lot of gaps in the paperwork (and memory) but I finally finished as much as I could by early afternoon. I’m missing one statement that may get here on Monday and if it doesn’t … well I don’t know!
I needed something to calm myself down after the stress of the accounting so I sorted through a few more of my patterns this afternoon. I found a couple of quilt patterns that I had saved from who knows how long ago, and I was quite surprised at the number of cross stitch patterns that feature quilts. Such fun – if I ever get around to them. I am hosting the Yarn Swap in the middle of January and while I’m not looking to get rid of any of my wool (or even swap it), I’d be willing to exchange a few of my patterns.
I’ve picked out my next knitting project so I’d better get busy and finish up those last-minute Christmas projects!
