Busy day

I headed out to the bee before nine this morning. We had more snow overnight; the roads were clear but the parking lot at the Seniors Center was a bit icy. We had a good turnout for the last bee of the year. I worked on my applique blocks and have #13 finished. I was celebrating that I only had three more left when I realized the blocks were out of order and I hadn’t done #12 yet. I want them posted on my website in the proper order so I’m giving you a sneak peak at #13 here.

While I was at the bee Margaret called the house to tell me that she had been moved to the Extended Care Unit at the hospital. I was quite surprised and thought perhaps she’d had another heart attack or that something had taken a turn for the worse. I went up to see her this afternoon and there doesn’t seem to be any change in her health so I’m not sure why she was moved here. It is a higher level of care than she would have at Olive Devaud but after seeing her I think she will enjoy being here. She has already signed up for a Christmas lights tour on Thursday and she has been learning about all the activities that will be available to her (lunch out twice a month, bingo, cards, excursions). I worried that she wouldn’t settle in because often when I visited her in hospital she would say “it could be worse; I could be in the ECU”. I hope she falls into their routine quickly and can enjoy her days more than she has for the past couple of months.

We were out at the movies tonight. I’m hopeful that I’ll have time tomorrow to catch up on some movie and book reviews and, perhaps, get the last bit of my studio tidied up.

Yesterday’s post doesn’t appear to have made it through to my subscriber’s Inbox. If I don’t see this post in tomorrow’s mail I’ll see if I can sort out what is going on.
