I finished up my small project last night. I wasn’t as happy with it as I should have been but thought it was okay. When I showed it to Pat he mentioned something that could be changed on it. I agreed, so this morning before I headed out to BOND I took off all the binding. This project was an added one to my list but I think I’m still on track to finish everything before the Guild meeting on Thursday.
We served tacos for lunch today. We’ve cut back on our numbers and are only cooking for about ten ladies. We serve lunch at 1 PM and by five past the first Mum came through the door. Another one came in shortly after and I figured they were all running late. But that was it – only two expectant Mums, two coordinators, one support worker and myself. One of the ladies had to leave for a medical appointment so the other Mum took all the leftovers home – she went out with quite a bagful. We had another craft day today but with only one participant there wasn’t much mess.
Today was Courtney’s last day with the program. Her boyfriend was transferred here in June and has now been transferred back to Vancouver. She is from Kamloops and is glad to be moving closer to home. Courtney is the first coordinator to leave BOND for reasons other than pregnancy! We always tease the new leaders that the pregnancies are contagious.
When I got home I rebound the piece I had picked apart this morning. I’m much happier with it this time around. I have one more piece to get done before the bee tomorrow. Once I’ve “showed and told” it I need to get it wrapped and in the mail. I’m looking forward to getting my parcels sent. I’ll clean up my studio before launching into the list of things I want to get done by the Guild Christmas party. Never a dull moment!
