I was back at BOND today. Asian Chicken Wraps with Spinach Salad was on the lunch menu. Both were quite easy to make, but it wasn’t as easy to wrap up the leftovers. This is my first week back and it was fun to catch up with Courtney and Connie (the leaders). Lots of fussy babies today – it seems to go in spells that either all are angels or all are fussy at the same time. They are all as cute as buttons and their fussy times don’t bother me a bit.
Today was Craft Day – never my favorite time. Odd that I enjoy crafting but don’t enjoy Craft Days. For one thing, the ladies never want to go home and have to be practically pushed out the door. And there is so much clean up to do – often glitter or paint or stickers!
Today the ladies were putting together Gift Jars. The jars were filled, in layers, with all the fixings to make oatmeal raisin pancakes. I know it isn’t true, but it seemed like there was as much on the floor and tables as went in the jars. It took an extra hour for the clean up today and it was after four before I was able to head off to see Margaret.
We didn’t visit long because they came to move her back into the Maternity ward. She is enjoying her niece’s visit. Diane took her out yesterday for a drive but Margaret said it was a little too much. They were out for most of the afternoon and she said she was over-tired last night. I think she is quite comfortable being a ‘Residential’ patient as she waits for a bed in the Senior’s Home.
I made a couple of stops after I left the hospital. I needed to go to The Source for a phone battery. I’m seldom in that store and I went to the wrong end of the mall before realizing what I needed was at the other end. I picked up a couple of birthday presents in one of the stores before finding my way back to the other end for my battery.
I’m not going to be doing much tonight. Pat has an early morning tomorrow so, hopefully, it will be an early night for both of us.
