Pat and I spent a good part of the morning looking at all the Black Friday specials online. I bought a couple of Kindle books (at less than $2 each) and a quilting program for my Mac (on today for half price). Pat found some deals at Canadian Tire so we made a trip out to the store. I was hoping to get a rack of storage containers but when I saw them in-store I decided they would be too small. I picked up a small frying pan though that was on at a very good price – just the right size for an egg.
I did the rest of my cleaning today. With the House Concert tomorrow everything has to be tidied and cleaned (except my studio). We have to rearrange the kitchen and livingroom so even the dust bunnies hiding under the furniture have to be vacuumed up. I still have the kitchen to do but I’ll leave that until tomorrow.
Pat had a friend over today so I had a chance to do some work in my studio. I was anxious to try out my magnetic thread. I had read numerous articles about tips and techniques for using it. I was a little nervous but Ruby took it all in stride and I didn’t notice any difference from regular thread – except it is bright and shiny!
I moved some of the furniture out of the living room tonight so it is looking kind of empty. I’ll take my knitting basket downstairs and see if there is anything on TV.
