Another early morning and lots more sewing done. I’m almost finished the second stage of my Christmas project and I’ll be wrapping it up in no time – maybe tomorrow!
I spent most of my sewing time today in the “room across the hall” (sometimes called the kid’s room but it would be too dangerous just now to let any kids into). My stereo is in there and I often forget to put on any music when I’m in my studio. But today I wound the CD player back to the beginning and started my way through my Christmas music. It’s early I know, but now is the time I’m working on Christmas and the music helps to keep me in the mood and motivated. And I need motivation if I’m going to get everything done.
I took a bit of time to make a list of all the things I need to do before specific deadline dates in December. I have four projects needing to be finished by the next Guild meeting – I should be able to manage at least three of them. The second deadline is for the Guild Christmas party – another four things to get finished by then.
And in-between all that there will be Christmas parcels to send (and presents to buy), birthday cards to make, a house concert and maybe even a little baking and cleaning! I’m doing the BOND lunches every week until our Christmas party on the 17th (at which I’ll also be working), and the Red Cross shifts continue through the holidays. I have no idea when Margaret will get moved so I need to continue with extra visits at the hospital. Throw in a House Concert and I think my calendar is pretty much booked – although if something comes up that I want to do I know I’ll fit it in!
Pat is out tonight so I’m going to head back to my sewing so I’ll be ready for a brand new step tomorrow morning. If there is any extra time in my evening I have the thumb on a mitt to finish up.
