There is hope

We went out for breakfast and I thought about heading out to one of the craft sales when we were done. It is another stormy day though and I just didn’t have enough interest in seeing more things I’d like to make but don’t have time for. Going alone is not nearly as much fun as the days when Diane and I would hit three or four sales in one day!

Pat and I have been discussing Christmas ideas and I thought I should get a proper list together and see how many gaps I had. I did some online price comparisons and then Pat and I made some final decisions. And since the hard part was done, I spent another hour getting everything ordered. Well not everything, as there are still a few gaps!

That being done I decided to tackle some clean up in my studio and adjacent room. I got as far as clearing my sewing and cutting tables and then I couldn’t stop myself from trying out one of my Christmas patterns. I was so happy that it went together well and seems relatively easy. I may get all of those ideas crossed off my list after all.

Pat is usually the cook but I wanted to try the chicken recipe Deloise made for our week at the lake. She made hers with chicken wings (and I made wings at Kathryn and Dave’s), but I wanted to try it with chicken legs. And since I was in a cooking mood, I also made Grand Marnier Beets (only I use orange juice) and cooked a butternut squash.

Back to my knitting for the evening. With all the time I’m spending with my needles you’d think my scrap basket would be getting empty, but it doesn’t seem to be!
