My socks are famous

Well maybe not MY socks, but the sock yarn is! I read a lot of quilting blogs every day, and many of the quilters also knit socks. I was thrilled to see that one of the bloggers posted a photo of her socks-in-progress and she is using the same wool as I am. She’s using a four-needle method and a turned heel, but I feel like my socks are the latest fashion trend!

It was project day at the bee. I’m working on (but not finished) another fall wall hanging. We had our choice of three projects. I will probably make them all at some point simply because I have the pattern. They are seasonal-related though and I don’t think I’ll have enough time to make them for this year. Nothing wrong with having a project or two (or two hundred) in mind for the future.

Margaret is back in the hospital so I stopped in to see her after the bee. I had called her on both Sunday and Monday and she hadn’t answered so this morning I called the hospital to see if she was there. She went in on Sunday morning and will be there for a few more days I think. Now that she is next on the list for assisted living she really, really doesn’t want to go back to that basement suite. She seemed more herself today and she says she has been up and walking the halls – that is so good for her.

After my hospital visit I stopped in at Great Balls of Yarn to show off my socks. There were pictures taken and they may make an appearance on their blog. If that happens, my socks really will be famous!
