It was the start of another early-morning week. I spent the first couple of hours sorting through Pat’s photos for our book. This is a never-ending project that needs to be done by the end of the month.
Pat was expecting several deliveries today so I had to stay downstairs and wait for knocks at either the front or the back door. With the exception of one phone call and a parcel arriving by post it wasn’t a very onerous task. I slipped out to the post office between two of his classes – I had Hallowe’en parcels and some Guild letters to send out. Since my knitting projects were finished I sat and read for a good part of the morning.
I had what is supposed to be the last of my knitting classes today. The crochet cast off went well, although I was a bit clumsy trying to crochet with a knitting needle in the way. I moved along to the afterthought heel. I think it will look good when it is done, but I know I have a few bits that don’t look just as they should. They want me to come back and show them the socks when they are finished, and they told me I could come back anytime for a refresher. I think I will start a second pair right away. There was no real pattern so if I leave it for too long I’ll need the whole course again!
