I may like all the work I get done in the early morning, but by the late afternoon I’ve run out of energy and all I want to think about is how early I can go to bed.
I did some cutting for a new project this morning, and was preparing for my shift at the Red Cross when I got a call from the woman who works the morning shift. She wondered if I could come in early as she had something she needed to do this afternoon. I said it wouldn’t be a problem but I had to stop at Safeway first. We had some of the recalled beef in our freezer so needed to return it.
It was such a busy day at the Red Cross. I had a steady stream of customers coming in for equipment and returning equipment. I stopped in to see Margaret when I finished my shift. She has been admitted to a ward, but she has a private room and a nice big window so she can see outside. She is walking a bit, but I don’t think enough yet to even consider going home.
I was looking forward to an evening vegging in front of the TV with my knitting, but then I remembered I had a Guild quilt show meeting followed by a regular business meeting. I needed some guidance on vendors at the quilt show meeting – I wanted it last meeting and never got it so I was determined to push the fact this week. It worked, because I know what to do now.
It was busy at the registration table. We have more members signed up this year than last year. I had lots to show at the meeting tonight – my three Hallowe’en projects were done and I also showed my Butterfly quilt.
But now I’m home, and I’m going to relax for a bit and then off to bed. No alarm tomorrow!
