An early morning and an early night

Pat was back teaching today so the alarms were set. I managed to crawl out of bed at 4:30 and I have hardly stopped since. While Pat did his first two hours of teaching I was up in my studio. I had planned to do more writing for our photo book, but decided I needed to sync my iPad and load a major update. I didn’t want to be doing anything else on my machine while that was going so I trimmed up my Hallowe’en projects and cut and prepared the bindings. I hope to have them finished by the Guild meeting on Thursday, but that will mean a busy day tomorrow.

The bee this morning was as much fun as ever. One of the ladies was teaching us how to do a wonky pineapple block. It wasn’t until the last minute that I remembered the plan for the day so my colours aren’t as good as they should be. I have no immediate plans to make more of these blocks, but I was glad to learn a new technique. One of our members is going to the Peninsula tomorrow and she is going to pick up a whack of rulers for us. I think there were at least ten members who wanted one.

I went directly from sewing to knitting. I didn’t get all my homework done during the week so I wasn’t ready for the crochet cast off. I have started the last two inches of ribbing so this should be an easy week. I’ve lost track of exactly what week we are on, but our instructor assured us we could keep coming until our socks were finished.

I don’t think there will be much more of anything done today.
