Pat started teaching his virtual class at 5 AM today. He set his alarm for 4:15 and my alarm was set for 4:30 as a backup. I’ve decided to get up with Pat and work on my Italian photo book for the first couple of hours of the day. Today was my first day, and I made quite a bit of progress.
I had lots of extra time this morning before I needed to leave for my quilting bee. Since my baby caps are finished I dug out another needlework project and managed a few rows of stitching. A little each day and I might, eventually, get another UFO finished.
I took hand stitching to the bee today. I want to get as many inches as possible counted at the meeting on Thursday. I finished up the second door hanger, but now I’ve been told I need a label for each of them. I guess while I’m doing those labels I may as well make one for the butterfly quilt as well. I got started on the binding of the Community Quilt and, as I stitched, I felt like I might need a bit more quilting in the piece. Lots of the ladies were doing free-motion quilting – I really need to get back doing some of that before I lose my nerve completely.
I was worn out by the time I got home from the bee. I had to do a bit of prep work for the Membership Committee, as well as some prep work for the Quilt Show meeting that will be held just before the business meeting on Thursday. I had most of the Guild blog written before dinner and I’ve just finished posting it.
As soon as I post my Journal, I’m off to relax for the evening. Tomorrow is another early day!
