Another hot one

I slept late this morning so, by the time I finished my usual morning routine, I didn’t have much time before my Red Cross shift. My desk was looking pretty tidy since I cleaned it up to allow space for my new computer, but then I remembered where I had hidden “the pile”.

So, in the time I had, I cleared up some of the paper and started working on some Guild stuff. I didn’t know I was to write a year-end report for the last business meeting in June. I missed the meeting but should have filed it apparently. I wrote a brief report this morning and then started to work on some of the membership forms we will need for the new year. I’m also in charge of the Merchant Mall for the quilt show so I took a look at what is involved for that. There doesn’t appear to be anything I need to do until January.

The shift at the Red Cross was relatively quiet. The convener was in and she showed me how to do some repairs on a couple of sets of crutches. It wasn’t hard, but my wrists are sore tonight.

I did a little knitting before supper and, after the dishes were done, I sat out in the cool of the back deck. The house has been really warm the past two nights and from the forecast it isn’t going to cool down for a few more days.
