Playing Catchup

Tuesday, August 14, 2012

Between my computer crashing and my visitor I haven’t been keeping you up to date on my leisure activities. I think I did more reading while Dayle was here than I have done all the rest of the summer. She dragged (!) me to see Magic Mike so I’ve posted a review of the movie. I’m behind in making the August cards, but I’ve posted pictures of my July birthday cards.

I spent all my time at the bee this morning tracing and cutting the pieces for the last five of my applique blocks. Had I kept to my original plan of one block a month, I’d be working on my last block. I have no new prediction as to when these blocks will be finished, but I’ll keep plugging away at them.

Every Tuesday I try to update the Guild’s blog, and I’ve added a feature called the Tuesday Sandwich Board where I highlight what our members are working on. We had a good turnout at the bee today and I’ve spent a lot of time this afternoon editing and posting the photos. It didn’t help that my programs are newer versions of the ones I have been using for ten years!

I hope to get at a bit of sewing tonight. As I said, I’m behind in my cards, I have a community quilt top that needs five seams, my Butterfly quilt is waiting to be quilted, and I have one of my Advent projects on the design wall.
