I spent most of the day in my studio working on my Butterfly quilt. I made all the Prairie Points I needed (with just a few extras) and pinned them to all four sides of the quilt. Then I added the border and started sewing. With all those pins I was constantly poking myself, and checking to be sure I hadn’t bled on anything. I think a suit of armor should be added to my toolbox!
I finished the flimsy just before dinner. I hope to get the backing and batting cut over the next couple of days, and I will sandwich the quilt at the bee on Tuesday.
This is Sea Fair weekend. The foot of our hill is the end point of the parade and I saw a few of the floats, as well as a number of horses and a few goats. There will be fireworks later tonight. With our high table on the deck, we have a prime viewing spot right here at home.
