Although I was still missing the sound of little feet around the house I was busy all day changing beds, cleaning and doing a bit more grocery shopping. We are billeting two young women from the Manilla Chamber Choir who are in town as part of Kathaumixw, the international choral festival.
This evening we went to a potluck BBQ to meet the other hosts and the choir. After dinner the choir sang one song for us, but we’ll have to wait to hear more. They will be performing at several concerts during the week and Margaret and I are going to one of their concerts on Wednesday afternoon. The choir has had a number of tours throughout Europe and Asia but this is their first North American tour.
Our weather continues to be more like winter than summer and one of the women is really feeling the cold. We’ve given her some extra blankets and sweaters but we really need the sun to come out so they can enjoy what little free time they have.
There were some last minute changes to the choir’s schedule for tomorrow but I’m not sure if that means our schedule has changed. We expect to hear more from the organizer tonight.
I know my first duties tomorrow include making breakfast and packing lunches. I haven’t made lunches in quite some time but we picked up a few goodies while we were shopping today so I should be okay for the first day anyway.
