More than we bargained for

With company expected tomorrow, today was a cleaning day. I went all out and did laundry as well. I’d never be able to manage a B and B. I kept getting mixed up about who was coming first – Christy or the choir billets!

I wanted to get out to the bottle depot today to return some cans and wine bottles. Pat wanted to watch the soccer game so we decided to go out after that was over. The game went into overtime and, just as it was done and we were getting ready to leave, Geoff called to say he’d be over to play a little music. Pat had the days mixed up and thought he was coming tomorrow. The bottles are all loaded into the trunk of the car and I’m hoping we can get them out tomorrow morning before I head off to my shift at the Red Cross.

Just before dinner we had an e-mail from the Kathaumixw people. We signed up thinking we had to provide a bed, breakfast, and a boxed lunch for our billets. Now we are told we will be driving them to their performances, picking them up after their performances and providing them with supper. Hopefully it will be a fun experience, but already I’m regretting our decision.
