According to news reports summer arrived sometime this afternoon. It was actually quite nice out today so hopefully the weather continues.
I did some laundry this morning and was able to hang it out to dry. I have a small rack but it holds a load of washing. I brought home some fabric yesterday that had been donated to the Guild. It was quite musty smelling, but I threw it in the drier with some Bounce sheets and a couple of wet towels and it seems to have come out fine. There were three of us that took a pile to clean up so there will be lots of new material for our next Community Quilts session.
Margaret had a couple of appointments today so I was out and about with her for a few hours. I also needed to do some shopping for tomorrow’s Guild party – I’m making Tracie Federow’s Cream Puff Cake. I don’t know how it will taste once it is put together but if you look at the ingredients I can’t see how it could miss at being good (vanilla pudding, Cool Whip, chocolate sauce)!
Maryanne (the other BOND volunteer) and I got our schedules organized for the summer. I’m hoping that at least one of my days will be a beach day (which is a catered event).
I spent some time in the office today clearing up some paperwork. I didn’t get my website updated but I will get at that in the next few days.
