My bag is packed and it came in under my weight limit. Now I’m worried that I may have forgotten something important! It was a busy day. Our friends Joel and Zoe came over for coffee and a visit this morning. They are going to look after things for us while we are away.
I was off this afternoon to my last Red Cross shift. While I was there one of the “craft ladies” who works down the hall popped her head in the door to say she was changing the orientation of the sign that sits on the floor outside the door. When I looked to see what she was doing I swear she turned it no more than 15 degrees. You may not remember your geometry, but 15 degrees is a very insignificant amount. I was tempted to say next week I’d be down to check the tension on their knitting projects. See I need a vacation.
After my shift I got all our paperwork copied and did the final check on my packing. We had to go out for dinner because we’ve already cleaned out the fridge and if we ate the cereal for supper we wouldn’t have anything for breakfast! We have little notes pasted around the house with all the last minute things to do.
I think I may go crazy without any stitching to do, but I have my iPad loaded with books in case I get tired of looking at works of art! Our first stop will be Port Coquitlam and a visit with Christy, Rick, Dylan and Taylor (some of the best works of art)!
