For the past couple of weeks Pat and I have been struggling to put a new toilet seat on the upstairs bathroom. With company coming it was time to call for help and get the job done. We called the man who came and fixed our fence when it blew down and he was able to handle the job and fix a few other things while he was here.

I worked in the yard for a bit this morning. For the past while I was able to pretend that the yellow dandelions were yellow daffodils, but with the daffodils finished blooming that doesn’t work quite as well. I also did some cleaning up inside. Don’t you just love having company because you get to all those things you don’t bother getting to when it is just us!

I did a little shopping this afternoon for some gluten-free goodies (at least I hope they are goodies). I followed up the grocery shopping with a trip to the wine store. I bought four bottles of Italian wine – two white and two red – so we can practice up for our Italy trip. And so we don’t run short over the weekend I bought a big jug of some good old BC white wine!

I still hadn’t finished up the quilting I wanted to get done on the Sudoku quilt so before and after supper I worked on that. I still have a bit of quilting left to do, but it will be ready for Show and Tell with Stacia and Deloise.

I’ll take the first ferry over to Comox tomorrow. My friend Peggy will pick me up and we’ll go to the airport to meet Stacia and Deloise. We’ll have a nice lunch and she will drive us back to the ferry. I’m not sure if I’ll be posting anything while our visitors are here.
