A good day for butterflies

Tuesday, April 3, 2012

There was a larger than usual crowd at the bee today. I think a few of the ladies are back from extended winter vacations. It was pouring rain when Pat dropped me off at the center, but when I came out a few hours later the sun was shining.

At the beginning of the year I had plans to have my butterfly quilt done in time for Emma’s birthday. I gave up on that goal quite some time ago, but most of my Tuesday’s have been dedicated to the project. I am almost finished the butterflies – just three more to go.

Pat went for a nap as soon as we got home (he’s sick) and I headed up to my studio to take care of my mess. I may be finished sewing until after my trip, but even if I’m not done stitching I’m going to change my usual routine.

I have a couple of projects that I’d like to have done before Stacia and Deloise visit and, if they are done, I can take them for Show and Tell at the May Guild meeting. I’m also going to have to get busy and get a couple of projects done for the end-of-year Guild party. I have my Challenge piece to do (funny how picking out the pattern leads you to think you are almost done!) and I’d like to get a wall hanging made from my Cookie Tin Exchange pieces. I’ll lose a month of sewing when we are in Italy (do you feel sorry for me?) so they need to be started very soon.

Hockey tonight and I’ll be stitching while I watch.
