I steamed a couple of times last night and woke up feeling so much better. Pat’s Mum also used Vicks VapoRub when Pat was a child, but she rubbed it on his chest and back. While I was steaming he did that and he’s feeling better today too. You can’t beat a mother’s advice!
It was a scary day in the studio. Since I first started stitching it, I’ve been worried that the black in my Sudoku quilt would bleed. I decided that once the center was done I’d wash it and see what happened. I also promised the quilting gods that if I got away with the black not running I would pre-wash my fabric from now on. I hand washed the center of the quilt while I pre-washed the binding fabric and then threw them in the drier together. Nothing bad happened so, once the pieces were ironed, I added another border.
I took Margaret out this afternoon. She had a doctor’s appointment, a few errands to run, and then we stopped for coffee. We chatted about all the overseas flights she has taken. When I asked her about jet lag she said she’d never been bothered by it “probably because I was too excited to be going somewhere.” I can totally see that!
I’ll be watching the hockey game tonight and I hope to finish the crocheting on my first Pay It Forward challenge.
