Laughter is good medicine

Since we had plans to go out tonight I decided I wouldn’t go to the bee this morning. Yesterday was the first day that I had managed to last the whole day without having a nap so I didn’t want to push my luck. Even though I have passed my cold along to Pat, it may still be active enough to spread and I wouldn’t want my fellow quilters to come down with it. There is a full weekend of quilting planned.

I was working on butterflies today. I finished four more and have them up on my design wall. I think I need to get another fleece-backed tablecloth so that I can start layering my projects. The Sudoku quilt is covered with butterflies; the latest cards are on the top and I have my Mystery Quilt spread out over my craft table. Perhaps what I really should do is finish some of these projects!

We had tickets for Lorne Elliott’s show tonight. We knew him from his CBC radio show called Madly Off in All Directions. We saw him perform once when we were still living in the Lower Mainland. He is as funny as ever and if laughter is the best medicine we’ll be better by tomorrow!
