Margaret and I were going to go out for coffee today but when I got up this morning I knew that wouldn’t be a good idea. I’ve had a bit of a tickle in my throat and a cough for a couple of days, but it was really bad today. I didn’t want to pass whatever this is to her so I called and cancelled.

I had enough energy to get Pat’s accounting work done and sent off to the accountant. I intended to tackle the income tax paperwork after lunch but decided I’d lie down for a while first. I read for a bit and I didn’t intent to nap but once I got warm I fell asleep and didn’t wake up until it was time for dinner.

We were planning to go out to a Slam Poetry contest tonight where a couple of our friends were performing. I was in no shape to go (Pat said I sounded terrible!) so Pat stayed home too. There is a beautiful sunset tonight and we’ve just been watching fish jump out in the ocean – all from the comfort of home!

I don’t feel like I’m on the mend yet, but hopefully I’ll be better tomorrow.
