It has to be spring

I thought I’d get my Easter projects all assembled, wrapped and in the mail today but I didn’t accomplish it.

I had the pieces lined with fabric (thank goodness for glue sticks) before I had to pick Margaret up for an appointment. She wasn’t long and I was back home within an hour of picking her up. She knows that Wednesday is Pat’s piano so she didn’t want him to be worried he would be late. As it turned out his lesson was cancelled for a second week. I don’t remember having a two- week holiday when I went to school!

I spent most of the afternoon assembling one piece, and I feared I wouldn’t even finish the assembly on the other two before the day was over. I was happy with the first finished piece and found a few ways to make the assembly of the other two a bit faster. While I watched the hockey game I got piece number two finished up and then, while watching a movie Pat had taped for me, I finished up the final piece. I’ll get them wrapped and in the mail tomorrow.

I’m feeling ready for bed, but I did laundry today and the bed is covered in clothes that need to be folded and put away, and then I’ll need to make the bed. I must be confident that spring has arrived because I washed my winter coat, hat and mitts. I’ll put them away and hope I don’t have to revert back to them.
