My goal today was to get the Flat Stanley book recorded. It is due back at the library soon and the last time I worked on it I spent all my time fiddling with the microphone settings. Everything worked out well today though and I have posted the first chapter on my website.
The time really dragged at the Red Cross today. I’m not sure why. We weren’t busy but I had Margaret there for company and the convener was in for most of the shift.
Tonight, in celebration of International Women’s Day, I was invited to a forum on women’s heart health. It was a very interesting and informative evening about preventative measures we should be taking to lessen the risk of heart disease (lots more fruit, veggies and exercise). There was some information about the warning signs of heart attack and stroke, but the emphasis was on prevention. We ended the evening with a bit of Zumba just to get our heart rates up!
