Better than I expected

Today was a quilting day and I wasn’t looking forward to it. Surprisingly everything worked well and I got a lot accomplished.

I started out with the quilting on the fabric pieces for my quilted jacket. I was afraid I was going to run out of thread before I finished, but it was okay. I’ll get my next jacket lesson on Tuesday at the bee. I can’t imagine that the remainder of the sewing will be any worse (or take any longer) than this first part has.

After lunch and a few Italian lessons I finished off the straight line quilting on my Mystery Quilt. I have a template planned for the larger squares and I’ll get those traced on in my next quilting session. There are 20 large squares so this next phase will take a few quilting Sundays. It feels good to be making progress though.

I’ve got a bit of composting to do before dinner and then I need to review my menu for tomorrow’s BOND lunch. I’m getting to the end of my crochet project so I will keep working on it this evening.
