It was so nice to be in my studio working at piecing a pattern. Today’s project was my Sudoku quilt. After the first block was done I realized that the blocks are a little like the stained glass technique, but not as fancy. About the third block I noticed that you could use the piece for a game of tic tac toe. It wasn’t until the last block of the day that I noticed I’m basically making a nine-patch block. All these choices are a good thing in case I mix myself up following the Sudoku chart!
Margaret had to go to the hospital today for some lab work, but I was only gone for an hour. She also had a couple of errands that needed to be taken care of but there was no line-up at the lab so we were in and out quickly. Margaret really wanted to go for coffee, but she didn’t want to miss the call from the nurse. I’ll be sure to get her out next week.
I’m finishing up in my studio early today. On the last block I had to restitch one of the seams two times so it was obviously time to quit.
