A knitting day

Thursday, February 9, 2012

I was up for a couple of hours in the very early morning. I’m not sure why I couldn’t get back to sleep, but after an hour I gave up, got up and played on my iPad for another hour. It was six when I finally went back to bed and I was able to sleep until nine. I missed my yoga class, but I think the sleep was more important.

Except for my Red Cross shift I spent most of the day on my knitting project. We only had one client at the shop this afternoon, but he took out nine different items. In spite of Margaret’s help (and I mean in spite of …) I got him and his equipment out the door before closing time.

Margaret’s surgery has been delayed a week. I think now that she has an actual date she doesn’t mind so much if it is rescheduled. I had figured out my week so I would be able to get her to the hospital for her injections as well as take care of all my scheduled events. I have a pass to the Film Festival and I’ve also signed up to work a couple of shifts for the Guild – we have quilts on display and someone needs to sit at the information table. As it turns out her Home Support people can give her the injections so I won’t need to worry about it regardless of which week she has the surgery.

We had a wonderful pasta supper tonight, and we’re watching the Canucks game on TV.  I poured myself a large glass of wine so, hopefully, I won’t make too many mistakes in my knitting!
